How to Install in Basement

 Basement Application

Our house was built in the 70's and the basement has no bathroom. When we remodeled the basement, we find it too overwhelmed to install a toilet in the basement; you need to trench out 20 feet of concrete floor and dirt, and then lay down 6" dia. cast iron pipe to connect to the main sewage line. It was messy, time consuming and expensive. So we decided to install a composting toilet instead.

All you need is to connect the exhaust fan hose to the outside. see diagram below. This application can be easily adapted and used in wood frame construction such as vacation cabin, tiny home, shed etc.

Items needed:

  1. vent cover
  2. sleeve/hose adapter
  3. exhaust hose
