I am a full-time nomad of 6 years traveling in a Chevy Express conversion. I was unhappy with my previous 5 gallon camping toilet. I was in desperate need of change and then I found the DBY. It was love at first sight, I knew purchasing this kit would solve my DIY needs. The toilet design is simple, yet functional. The overall assembly was quick - it took 5 minutes to install the toilet seat to the lid and about two hours to complete the entire box. I ended up purchasing a plastic Kohler toilet seat to keep things light weight. The foam pieces to prop up the lid were a nice touch! I haven’t experienced any major issues with odor from solid waste, but the urine seal inlet worked too well and liquids did not go down smoothly. Life was messy until I put a small stick inside to help liquids flow into the urine canister. Four months later everything is operating smoothly. Cleaning the toilet is easy - I clean it everyday for best hygiene practices in our tiny living space. Disposing of both liquid and solid waste is simple and hassle-free. I am beyond thrilled with this purchase and would buy another for any future builds!

I've been using the compost toilet I recently purchased online, and I couldn't be happier with my choice! Had an issue due to rough handling in transit; the seller provided prompt and thorough troubleshooting support.
Kit included dimensions for box, which was easy to knock together. You do want to ensure everything is situated properly relative to the diverter.
Have been using a couple weeks and you'd never know we don't have a "normal" toilet!

Does exactly what it is supposed to do. Would be nice if the diameter of the hose was noted on the website, so you can know what it will attach to.

The composting agents, coco coir, work well. I sprinkle them over my solid waste and give the bag a lil shake just for fun. No smell that I can tell.

Order a basic model with a fan. Works really well. no smell but u have to have the fan on all the time. I put lots of wood chips though. Very clever design. I can see they put a lot of thought into it. Not just a bucket and a bottle like many competitors who just want quick money. Im glad I found this. Thanks.

Exactly what I needed. Works quite well. No smell. I’m about 200 lb. Feel pretty sturdy to me. It should last quit some time.
I have bought some other carpentry stuff from Etsy. They just cut it with a laser cutter. Leaving all the rough edges. But not this toilet. Nice and clean. Ready to paint. I would recommend it.
